The Rise Against crew have got to be the most pretentious dickheads I have EVER met and worked with. The band is cool, but those fuckheads behind the scene, omg I wanted to snap their fucking white-ass heads. Current Mood: blah | | Tuesday, July 17th, 2007 | | 11:25 am |
HOLY FUCK!
Been awhile since I've said ANYTHING on here eh? Well I hear Dylan's been an ass, I don't mind my work even though it's not constant, the local hardcore scene is not my thing lately, Throwdown with Triple M and the rest of the peeps at Warped Tour was awsome, Calgary kids suck, me and Mike texted each other on the way down to Calgary for Warped Tour and told each other how relaxing it is to be alone and driving while listening to Cold Play and Goo Goo Dolls, Tamara's B-day was awsome, I love sleeping in her bed ;), Curtis got his gay on at AnthroCon and is moving out so good for him he's learning life, I lost in the 2nd Annual NHL Tourney. I came in 2nd place. I knew it'd be me and Norv, Ahman went under House Arrest, I've lost weight, watched the Trilogy of Beverely Hills Cop, I got my 10,000 Kills in Gears of War, I finished NHL 07 in one week, I watched the 1st Season in Prison Break in 3 days, thought Die Hard and Transformers were equally awsome, been on 4 dates with girls, injured my right shoulder, training to get into some good core n physical shape to try out for MMA in the fall, I leave for Europe in 3 weeks, Shadows Fall, Necro, Acacia Strain and others are gonna be here for Sounds of The Underground on the 28th, and to sum it up, I rolled $106 worth of change I've been saving for years last night. I've been doin pretty good but above this has got to be the most unproductive summer I've EVER had. Current Mood: tired | | Tuesday, May 29th, 2007 | | 2:25 pm |

Finally picked up a job after a month of being a bum from school. I work for Backstage Support! I help load in and out bands for shows of all size all over the city and River Creek Casino. Any show that's coming up I'm pretty much gonna be working at including Rise Against, Sounds of the Underground, and Ice Cube. I get to meet all the bands too but that's just to chill n shit, nothingmore. I'm definitely stoked to do this since it's a laid back job and it's good for me. :D I start tommorrow! -(JaY) Current Mood: happy | | Friday, May 25th, 2007 | | 3:40 am |

Summer has begun!
Summer officially began last Friday at 9:40am when I finished my Music 103 Exam. I was quite excited and exhausted when I ended this school year. It took something out of me but also gave me a lot back. I learned a lot involving my technique for studying, improved my editing habits for papers, and overall, made new friends that I'll actually chill with throughout the summer. I also made much improvements at the gym and made an increase in my strength and my knowledge of bodybuilding. Overall, this year was one of the best years I've had at school. I'll miss some of the friends I made this year, since some are graduating but others I will see come this fall, not to mention with my summer job. :D So this past weekend I saw This Is Hell and Comeback Kid. This Is Hell lived up to their name. They impressed me a lot with their energy and enthusiasm as a band. This being the band that flipped their van into a ditch right outside Edmonton and still came to play. How many bands do you know would do that right? Talk about loving your job, these guys live it. I was impressed and bought my sister a hoodie from them since they needed the $$$. I would of gotten myself sumthin but they didn't have anything in my size! lol Comeback Kid also was good. Had the right amount of kids there, and people were stage-divin n everything. I was going to but then a couple fights started with my buddies and a couple of fuckers. This one guy was trippin kids while they were in a circle pit. So I just went up to him and hammer-punched the fuck out of him. Got his attention but he wasn't gonna do shit. Maybe it's cause of my size? *winks* Overall, it was a lot of fun and the start to one hellova summer. 3 Things I'm going to do this summer. 1. Work at Monkey Island 2. Workout and tone & cut 3. Finally get around to doing my band with my bro's n hoe's. Shit will be fun. I'm off! Laterz! -(JaY) Current Mood: excited | | Saturday, April 21st, 2007 | | 4:07 pm |
This Is Hell and CBK tonight!
Just caught this info of This Is Hell The band that we are on tour with, This Is Hell, just rolled there van outside of Edmonton. I just got off the phone with Travis and he told me everyone is fine but the status of their van and trailer is yet to be determined. We have 4 shows left with them on this tour that we've been together on since March 8 so we're hoping there is some way they will be able to get whatever needs to be repaired on there van and trailer done quickly. If you can make it out to any of the shows left here in western Canada it would help them out a ton I'm sure if you picked up a CD or a shirt from them(especially if you've downloaded their record already haha). Lets hope and pray for the best in their situation 04/21/2007 - Edmonton, AB @ The Starlite Room 04/23/2007 - Calgary, AB @ The Warehouse 04/24/2007 - Regina, SK @ Distrikt 04/25/2007 - Winnipeg, MB @ The Albert Jeremy That shit sucks. Any band whose had to deal with this situation has to make the best of it. I'm glad those dudes are alright cause it could of been much worse for them. I'll definitely buy a hoodie or t-shirt from em for sure now. Word to This Is Hell for still making it into E-town. I've been wanting to see this band for two years now, ain't nothin gonna get me down now to see em. Let the mosh begin. :D -(JaY) Current Mood: excited | | Monday, April 16th, 2007 | | 2:53 pm |

This week
I have lost 5 pounds due to upping the amount of cardio and intensity I do. :D p.s. I miss Keith for obvious reasons. ;) Current Mood: cheerful | | Tuesday, March 20th, 2007 | | 1:08 am |

Been Awhile
First off, Keith, I'll always have your ass online. ;) I've been listenin to the MEANS new album from Facedown Records (a jesus label) and I'm still wondering what to think of it. They are local dudes (as in Saskatchewan) and it is decent but the thing is, it's about 4 years to late for E-town as the whole metalcore thing went through. We'll see. Also this whole cutting issue is definitely a bitch to do. I lost 23 pounds in the past three weeks, have had nothing but lean ground beef, chicken, veggies, low carb intakes if not at all after 8'o'clock and been using fat burners along with a Mass to have right after my work out. I've been seeing strength and body results. All of this without the use of steriods but we'll see about that in the future. Now don't ya'll be giving a moral talk about the use of them cause most of you are guilty by either doing drugs as recreational use, smoking, etc. I've been tempted too for reasons I won't disclose for now. Hell when you have some of your good workouts buddies on the juice and seeing them power it through doing 4 and 1/2 to 5 45lbs plates on Incline Bench it makes you wonder how far you can go doing it the natural way. I've been doing it the natural way for now but later as in the next couple of years I might go for it. We'll see. For now, I'm enjoying my results and seeing more on the way. Only 11 more weeks to go, 16 until I head'er to EUROPE. Yes, that's right, Germany, England, Greece, and Italy bitches here I come! If I have friends out there (and I know I do) better check me up, I'll most likely be in your area! Alright, I'm out to play some poker with Grey and the old-neighborhood gang kids. Laterz! News Travels Fast
All day I heard Ryan Smyth got traded to the NY Islanders. I first heard it when I was chillin with my friend Jeremy in his office. Soon after, I heard it in my classes, in the SUB Building, in CAB, and eventually the gym. MY GAWD did I hear a lot of talk from friends and fellow workout mates about the trade. Two jobber players and what, a 3rd round draft pick from the NY Islanders? Man, it makes you wonder what kind of situations evolved from the talks of both Keven Lower and the higher up people had with Smyth's people. It sucks but life moves on. If your in that kind of life, you need to take it. I mean, in the end, wasn't it all about winning that Stanley Cup in the first place? I know it would be for me at a young age. Instead it's holding at WWE Belt. lol Seriously though, it is going to be a rough ride for the Edmonton Oilers. I'm sure the players know it, the fans know it, and the people of Edmonton know it. But this means as Marty Reasoner said "these young players can step up." This is true, people like Hemsky, Reasoner, and the many we acquired during the summer. We shall see the playoffs again people. All of this happening on Mark Messier's #11 being raised to the roof of Rexall Place. Sucks. And doesn't it seem like YEARS ago when we got Pronger and Pecca to the Oilers? haha! Fuck! Oh, and Sworn Enemy kicked ass last night. Sworn Enemy
Sworn Enemy with Too Pure To Die and KATAKLYSM tonight! Should be a good'er. PLUS it's not at fucking Ed's! so that makes me even more happy. I need to get my toughguy shit on since it' been a while a band that kick's ass has come around seriously. I just dunno what to make of TPTD's new singer. He looks pretty fashion and that band is not what that's about. The old singer would go out and fight people who fucked with hardcore kids, will this dude do it? I dunno. Early show so I'm outta here! -(JaY) Current Mood: chipper | | Wednesday, February 14th, 2007 | | 6:33 pm |
